Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to sessions booked online, by phone or in the salon at The Tan Lounge, 1b Debdale Ln, Keyworth, Nottingham NG12 5HT. Please read them before you book.

Who can use our sunbeds

• You must be 18 or over. By law (Sunbeds (Regulation) Act 2010) we cannot let anyone under 18 use a sunbed, and we may ask for photo ID.
• Sunbeds are not suitable for everyone. Please do not tan if you burn easily and never tan (skin type 1), have a history of skin cancer, have lots of moles or freckles, are taking medication that makes your skin more sensitive to light, or have been advised against UV exposure by a doctor. If you are pregnant, please check with your midwife or GP first.
• Before your first session you will be asked to confirm a short declaration about your skin and health. Please tell us if anything changes.

Tanning safely

• Eye protection must be worn during every session.
• Our team will advise you on a safe session length for your skin type. Please leave at least 48 hours between sessions and never let your skin burn.
• We may refuse a session if we think it isn't safe for you.

Booking

• Walk-ins are always welcome, subject to availability. Booking online is optional and guarantees your slot.
• Your booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email.
• Please arrive a few minutes early. If you arrive late, we may need to shorten your session so the next customer isn't kept waiting; the full booked time is still charged.

Cancelling or changing a booking

• You can cancel using the link in your confirmation email, or by calling us, up to the cancellation cut-off shown in that email.
• If you can't make it after the cut-off, please call us as soon as you can.
• If bookings are repeatedly missed without notice, we may ask you to book in person or by phone.
• Very occasionally we may need to move or cancel a booking, for example if a bed needs repairing. We will contact you as soon as possible to rearrange.

Prices and payment

• Prices are shown on our website and in the salon. The price at the time you book applies.
• Pay-as-you-go sessions are paid in the salon. If you have a course, the minutes you use are deducted from your balance when you attend.
• Course minutes are for the named customer only. Please ask in the salon about any course terms.

Our responsibility to you

We look after our equipment carefully and follow industry guidance on safe tanning. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
